What is Roulette?

Roullete

Basically, roulette is a casino game. It is named after the French word “roulette” which means little wheel. It was likely developed from an Italian game called Biribi.

French roulette

Compared to American Roulette, French Roulette has the lowest house advantage and provides players with a number of additional betting options. French Roulette has two main rules, the La Partage rule and the En Prison rule, which further lower the house edge.

The La Partage rule applies to even-money bets, lowering the house edge by 1.35%. If the ball lands on zero, the player will receive back half of the bet. In addition, the En Prison rule keeps the bet in the same spot. If the player wins, he or she can keep the full bet. This gives the gambler the opportunity to try again.

European roulette

Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, you’ll find that European roulette is a highly entertaining game. In fact, it’s one of the most popular casino games of all time.

There are two main types of bets to consider when playing European roulette. The first is the “inside” bets. These are bets on individual numbers, colors, and combinations of numbers.

The other type of bet is the “outside” bets. These are bets made on combinations of numbers that have a higher chance of winning. These bets are easier to understand and have a smaller payout.

The European Roulette wheel has only one zero pocket, rather than two like the American Roulette wheel. This makes the house edge less than 2.63%.

American roulette

Among the most popular casino table games, American Roulette is a popular choice. You can find a wide variety of betting options, a great variety of payouts, and excellent graphics.

There are three main types of bets to choose from. One is the “street bet.” This is a bet on a row of three numbers. The other two are the “corner bet” and the “split bet.”

The street bet is the simplest of the three and pays out 11-1. The corner bet covers a square of four numbers, and pays out 8-1. The split bet is similar but covers two adjacent numbers.

Special bets

Several different special bets are available at the roulette table. These bets vary depending on the roulette variation. Some bets are exclusive to a particular variant, while others are available at a variety of casinos. The best way to make a good decision is to study the rules of each variant. One example of a special bet is the French bet, which enables players to make several bets with a single chip. The rules for this bet can be quite complex, and a good understanding is recommended if you are new to roulette.

One of the most common special bets is the neighbours bet, which is available at both French and European tables. This bet covers two numbers on opposite sides of the zero pocket. It is not common at American roulette tables, and the rules for this bet vary from game to game.
